A lazy day...

Today we had nothing planned, and we did nothing!  Stayed at the guest house all day!  We ate leftovers for lunch, which I had a bit of trouble warming up because the power was out (for the first time).  But it all worked out.  We had a visit on our (shared) balcony with the two other Imagine families who are here now.  They went out to do some shopping and we stayed here, but we will meet them for supper tonight somewhere.

It was nice to have a day of playing, watching movies and just hanging out.  Man, it made me realize how much the sound carries in the guesthouse, though.  When I was downstairs heating up lunch (on the stove, since the microwave in our room wasn't working with no power), I could hear every word the kids were saying!  Let alone every shriek, giggle, yelp, laugh... Yikes.  Hopefully the next place will be more sound proof.  At least we can send them to a bedroom to play with the door closed and that will be one more door between them and the public! haha

I sent some laundry out to be washed today, as my handwashing took 3.5 days to dry and we wanted it clean before we left on our trip on Saturday.  I expected not to get it back for a couple days, but it was returned this afternoon, still warm from the iron!  I haven't seen the bill yet, so who knows if we will ever send it out again, lol, but it was very nice to have soft, warm, folded laundry delivered to the room!

Tomorrow is court!  We can't wait to be Bereket's mom and dad!  We are being picked up at 1:00 and we're not sure how long it will take.  If there is time, we will visit him after, but if not, we will go Thursday.

We are leaving for our trip Saturday, very early.  We have to be at the airport at 5:30, which should be a riot.  lol.  We will get home on Thursday and check into the new guest house.  We will visit Bereket over the next few days, and possibly see his birth mom then too.  On Monday, August 26, we get to go see our Compassion Child, Ayantu.  The next day, or maybe the day after we will take custody of Bereket!

So, that's my non-update for today!  Please think of us tomorrow during court.  2 pm our time is 5 am Alberta time.  I will try to update tomorrow after court, but if we go to visit Bereket after court, you might have to wait a bit. :)
